Live show

I went to a live show with Serena and Lexie at Brudenell Social Club on July 18. The performer was hyukoh, which is one of the most creative indie band in South Korean. It was a great night. Everyone had a good time and lost themselves in the music.

I’m into the live music and it is a good way to let off steam and escape from boring life. I found there are numerous shows in Leeds. We can buy tickets on Ticketmaster or See Tickets, which is really convenient. I also bought the ticket of Ed Sheeran’s concert on August 17 in Leeds. I hope I can enjoy more concerts or live shows during my oversea study.

Street performance (Busking)

When you walk on the briggate street, there are always many kinds of street performances you can see such as acrobatics, instrumental performance, singing, fire skills. Their performances are full of ideas and impressive. Every time I pass by the street, I will stop for some minutes to enjoy their shows. I think those buskers are amazing and they bring the novelty and excitement to Leeds.

I took a short video

I do some researches after I seen those busking. I found that some studies showed that in areas where buskers regularly perform, crime rates tended to go down, which is interesting. It seems that street performances make people feel happiness. I’m not sure the buskers do that for make a living or for individual hobbies. Next time, I will be willing to talk to them and ask them some questions.

Cinema

I recommend the Vue cinema and there are two Vue cinema in Leeds. One is located in The Light, which is the nearest cinema to us. The other one is located in Kirkstall Road, which has an IMAX screen. I have seen the Lion King in IMAX and Toy story 4 in 2d. The sound effect in Vue is awesome and the seat is also comfortable.

Tips:

Buying IMAX tickets online because you can choose the seat.

Buying 2D or 3D tickets at the cinema because it is more cheaper than buying tickets online.
